Bedside Cardiac Monitors

Every patient admitted under cardiac care is connected to continuous bedside monitoring — tracking heart rhythm, heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels in real time. This means any change in a patient's condition is caught immediately by the nursing and medical team, rather than at the next scheduled check, which matters most in the hours right after a cardiac event.

When it's usually needed

  • Any inpatient admission for a cardiac condition
  • Recovery period after a procedure or heart attack
  • Close observation for an unstable or new diagnosis

Good to know

Duration: Continuous throughout admission

Preparation: No preparation needed; monitoring begins at admission.
